uk vine: Meet the Winemaker at Michelin Guide Listed Albert’s Table in London
English wine, as my usual readers know, has a special place in my heart. However, I’m not alone; more and more people are trying and loving English wines – and the pinnacle of its quality is in the sparkling varieties. Now competing with the best Champagne houses in the world, English bubbly brings its own distinct style of elegance and finesse.
Few people recognise this more than Bluebell Vineyard Estates‘ winemaker Kevin Sutherland. As part of a brand new “Meet the Winemaker” series, launched by uk vine magazine, you could get the chance to meet and question Mr Sutherland on his winemaking expertise. Plus you’ll try his award-winning sparkling wines alongside a fine dining dinner prepared by Joby Wells at the Michelin Star Listed Albert’s Table in Croydon, London.
Early bird tickets are currently selling at a discounted rate, so if you’re keen and love great wine and food then head over there and book now.
Bluebell Vineyard Estates planted its first vines in 2005 and aim to produce wines with a freshness often seen across the quality UK wine scene. I have been lucky enough to try their Hindleap Seyval Blanc and Blanc de Blancs. Both are crisp, ripe wines with complex aromas and a mouthwateringly dry finish. They are hugely satisfying wines.
