Salmon 100% Pinot Meunier Rosé NV

Pink and charming 100% Meunier Champagne with gentle pink grapefruit and biscuity maturity.

Immediately I smell wild berry aromas and a nose of maturity from clear lees-ageing, but there’s also something immediately delicate about this wine.

On the palette it

Salmon 100% Meunier NV

A 100% Meunier Champagne with plenty of bold maturity, yet still light and versatile.

Sometimes you get Champagnes at this price range that just suffer from too long on their lees and not enough fruit behind it. Thankfully, Alexandre Salmon’s

Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV

Put simply, Taittinger’s flagship rosé Champagne reminds me of a delicious raspberry crumble.

I love this sparkling wine. It’s a ripe pink (likely because it’s been blended with 15% Pinot Noir still red wine) and smells like lightly baked berries

Champagne Taittinger Prélude Grand Cru NV

Chardonnay dominant bubbly with a strange nose but satisfying palette.

Taittinger makes some excellent Champagnes. Its Prélude Grand Cru is one of the more interesting ones; a moussey, fruity sparkling wine with a noticeable delicacy.

Champagne Taittinger Vintage Brut 2008

A newly-released vintage from the famous Champagne house, Taittinger.

What to say about the 2008? I likely approached the wine with high expectations. Taittinger tends to produce really masculine, flavoursome Champagnes and I didn’t expect this wine to be any

Chateau Rives-Blanques Blanquette de Limoux 2012

Super lively sparkling wine – so, so creamy!

The term Fizz! Bang! Pop! probably hasn’t suited a wine I’ve tried quite so well as it suits this Blanquette de Limoux from Chateau Rives-Blanques.

It’s an intensely toasty wine on the

Cantina Cleto Chiarli Pruno Nero NV

Playful sparkling red brimming with cherry fruits and bubblegum aromas.

This wine, from one of Emilia-Romagna’s oldest wine producers, Chiarli, will surely be the talk of any party. A classic Lambrusco, it’s modest in alcohol but fearless on the fruit

Franck Massard Mas Sardana Cava Brut Nature NV

Very dry, very light, but somehow still manages to be both elegant and fulfilling in flavour.

Franck Massard, a French sommelier who formally worked in the UK, uses local grape varieties from Spanish vineyards to piece together this bone dry

Waitrose Brut NV Champagne

Fruity and refined house Champagne that’s excellent value for money.

Golden coloured, fruit-forward Champagne. The zesty fruits of the Chardonnay grape are present, bringing zest and refreshment to the glass. However, wild berry character from the Pinot Noir dominates.

Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Shiraz

Jacob’s Creek Sparkling Shiraz is a bold, sweet party bubbly with great flavour.

Sometimes you just want a sparkling wine that is great value and thoroughly enjoyable, especially if you’re buying it in bulk for parties or events. However, Jacob’s
