Araldica La Luciana Gavi 2014

Young, refreshing and with enough citrus to make it a recommended table wine. This Gavi is very versatile with food.

From the great winemakers at Araldica comes the La Luciana Gavi (sadly no longer available at Waitrose, but was an incredible bargain at £4.99 in Jan 2015). It’s super with food, thanks to its really pleasant but fairly subtle citrus and blossom aromas. It has a little complexity of green apple, which is complementing.

Off-dry and light-bodied, it’s really easy drinking. Striking a surprisingly good balance between sugars and acidity, it’s got lots of lemon in there, a touch of grapefruit but quite a short finish – so it won’t stick around for long.

Serve chilled and it’s nicely refreshing on its own.

Serve with…

…Very versatile but try with light pasta or white fish dishes. Avoid pairing with sweet or full bodied dishes, as it will be easily over-powered. Best enjoyed in summer.
