Champagne Taittinger Prestige Rosé NV
Put simply, Taittinger’s flagship rosé Champagne reminds me of a delicious raspberry crumble.
I love this sparkling wine. It’s a ripe pink (likely because it’s been blended with 15% Pinot Noir still red wine) and smells like lightly baked berries on the nose. Is it too early to start thinking about Christmas?
The experience is at first a touch tart, with sharp raspberry fruit, and then there’s strawberries, apples (from the 30% Chardonnay), and a tint of lemon. This rounds off in such a biscuity, mouth-watering way that it’s hard to think of anything but having eaten the most refined of apple and raspberry crumbles.
Pronounced wild berries and moussey texture. Yum.
