Château Les Sablines Monbazillac

An exceptionally-made Monbazillac. Balancing scents of orange and citrus peel with a body of sweet and luscious honey.

Smart dessert wine with plenty of aroma delicacy without compromising on richness of flavour. The wine boasts orange peel character on the nose and honey, lemon and raisin on the palette.

Smooth, dangerously “moreish”, and with a long, pleasing finish, this is a cracking dessert wine under the £10 price mark (£9.99, Waitrose, Feb 2015).

Slightly lighter bodied than its Sauternes cousins. Just as delicious.

Serve with…

…most desserts, although try to avoid pairing with anything overly rich like sticky toffee pudding, or simply pair with rich cheeses.
