Côtes du Roussillon Domaine de l’Oranger 2013

Bright, medium-full body with plenty of ruby tinge and a purple-ish tone near the rim shows off a young, tart and juicy red wine.

The nose brings in lots of dry spice and a subtle tone of sweet berries and plumbs. This beautiful Domaine l’Oranger red wine from the south of France has an incredibly drinkable juicy-smooth texture. You can’t help but lap up the fruity flavours of cranberry and other red fruits, while enjoying the dry length akin to cherry skins.

Leaving no offending aftertaste, this red is a perfect accompaniment with savoury biscuits or on its own as an aperitif. Assure it is not too cold and served at room temperature to properly enjoy the flavours.

Serve with…

…sweet foods like chocolate and, while the wine will mostly be overpowered, it brings out some attractive blackcurrant and plumb flavours.
