Esprit de Buganay Rosé 2013

Delicate and carefully-balanced summer fruits rosé.

Esprit de Buganay’s 2013 vintage has a little more acidity than most crisp rosés, but the winemakers behind this benchmark Provence wine have achieved impressive balance.

On the eye the wine is water-white at the rim with an elegant salmon-coloured body. A little hint of green suggests some herbaceous quality, too. On the nose, though, are mostly strawberries and a tart raspberry.

The palette is crisp and refreshing, albeit not wonderfully complex. Summer fruits, mainly red berries, are at the forefront. However, there is a little delicacy when served lightly chilled, which makes it something special.

Great to enjoy in the summer.
